Italian Tutorial

Three pupils gather at the table,

arranging their books. They ignore

the snow falling outside the library,

the grey sky lowering,

the wind slicing the parking lot,

toothpick students running,

and imagine themselves in Venice,

or the Coliseum consumed by lions . . .
